Scope of application of wear-resistant rings (guide rings)

(1) The function of wear-resistant rings

Wear resistant rings are used as supporting components on the piston to prevent scratches between the piston and the oil cylinder, reduce eccentricity, and improve the durability of sealing components.

(2) Selection of wear-resistant rings

The shape and material of the wear-resistant ring should be selected based on working conditions. Just like oil cylinders used in construction equipment, phenolic resin with excellent compression load characteristics should be used at low speeds and high loads. When traveling at high speeds, under low loads, or when crawling is possible, choose polytetrafluoroethylene resin with excellent friction and wear characteristics.
